Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge farmers rally gathering in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking at the event, Shri Modi said that our farmers were the pride of our nation. The PM urged all state governments to accord top priority to agriculture and welfare of farmers. He also laid out the government’s vision of doubling the income of farmers by 2022.
Shri Narendra Modi stated that for the welfare of the farmers, industries as well as the services sector were important as they offered several opportunities.
